AIT for Sensory Issues

Berard method AIT is one of the few programs that is helpful for the treatment of Sensory Issues. AIT has been shown to normalize the way the brain processes information so that we often see the sensory issues and hyper-sensitivity diminish or resolve completely as well as improvements in mood, behavior, learning issues, speech and language. If one can have more normalized senses then there is less over-load, less need for self-soothing and a reduction in "self-stimming" behaviors. AIT is a good pre-curser to other therapies as once the functions are more normalized it allows the individual to utilize other therapies more effectively.

AIT not only helps with hypersensitive hearing but other sensory issues also. It uses filtered and modulated music to help stimulate the audiological and neurological systems. Since AIT uses sound, which is vibrational, going into the areas of the brain where all the different glands and organs are that control different senses and systems of the body, we often see improvements not only in the hearing but in other areas such as vision, taste, smell, touch, balance, coordination, and hand writing among others.

Programs are individualized for each person based on a pre-screening evaluation.

"Tommy seems so much more relaxed after the AIT program. He's smiles all the time now and has recently been going around wanting to touch everything. It's like he never enjoyed touch before but now is feeling things differently and is interested in what they feel like! His eye contact has improved and he's been trying new foods. We are so glad to see the changes. It's like he has a new lease on life."
